How to use french accents
If you are really against the international keyboard, you can use accented letters with the ALT key and a 3-4 number code. Although ALT codes are can only be used with a numeric keypad, not using the numbers that go across the top of your key board. To type accents with ALT codes, hold down the ALT key, then on the numeric keypad type the 3-4 number code, then when you release the ALT key, the accent will be there.
